In spring of 2020, Paul completed the MFA program in the Animation Workshop at the University of California, Los Angeles. This his second MFA, the first being in film production at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts, completed in 2011. In the years between degrees, Paul served in key creative roles on projects recognized by the Sundance, Slamdance, Tribeca, and New Orleans Film Festival(s).

Originally from Washington D.C., Paul is an avid musician, athlete, and outdoor enthusiast.  He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, the award-winning film and television director, Meera Menon. Together, they have a cat and dog who are the reincarnated President John F. Kennedy, and his brother Robert.  Jack and Bobby are inseparable.
